We know a lot goes into making magazines; including blood, sweat and sometimes tears so spare a thought for the magazine makers of a bygone era who created editorial magic through illustrations and the written word. While there's certainly no sign of a circulation or marketing department, the art department gets an honourable mention with vision of the literal cut and paste process of the art direction and layout. So much has changed and we can thank our lucky stars for technology. About British Pathé: The world's finest news and entertainment video film archive.
