Currently there are *11 MILLION Australian unique active visitors on YouTube. Yes, 11 million - about 48% of the population. I was surprised by the Australian YouTube user data and think this presents forward-thinking publishers with a brilliant opportunity for very little investment.
YouTube is highly segmented and targeted - a lot like magazines. Take Hello Style for example, a YouTube channel collaboration between 5 magazine brands; Cosmopolitan, BAZAAR, Marie Claire, Seventeen and Real Beauty. There are 78,254 subscribers with over 10,839,548 views (click to view) and 404 videos to date. *source: social media news
Your content doesn't need to be highly "produced" to be successful - just useful, personal and a little bit fun - afterall, YouTube is entertainment.
